Butcher Cuts at The Piggy Market

Please note, all butcher cuts such as steaks and ground meats are done to order. If you are in a hurry, call us ahead, and we're more than happy to have your order ready!


How could we be a Piggy Market without pork? Pork is both our priority, and our passion. We work with three different local farmers for Heritage breed local pork. Depending on the week, you will find in store one of Tamworth, Berkshire, or Large Black Pork. The heritage breed pork has a different flavour than regular pork and as it is pasture raised, hangs for a longer period. The result is a tender, gorgeously red meat that in no way resembles regular pork. We also carry Ontario pork, raised by farmers throughout the province.


Our beef comes from O'Brien Farms, in Winchester, Ontario. Dan O'Brien is a fourth generation beef farmer, who offers beef that is never fed Growth Hormone, and focuses on animal comfort.


Veal is a special event at the store. Our veal comes from Peasant's Craft Farm in St. Andrews, Ontario, and is only available occasionally.
